A late-night 'disturbance' in Rochdale left two men in hospital - this is what we know

Two men have been taken to hospital following a 'disturbance' in Rochdale.

Officers were called to Greave Avenue, at the junction with Sandy Lane, and found the two injured men.

Police said their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, although one man did suffer 'serious' leg injuries.

The men were found shortly before 12.25am this morning (Wednesday).

No further details have been released by Greater Manchester Police.

Police have sealed off Sandy Lane, at the junction with Edenfield Road to the junction with Bury Old Road, in both directions.

An investigation is underway.

Bus services are being diverted and commuters are being advised to avoid the area.
