A kindhearted stranger left some sunflower seeds in the baby changing room in Morrisons and it made an 'exhausted' mum's day

A kindhearted stranger left some sunflower seeds in the baby changing room in Morrisons and it made an 'exhausted' mum's day.

The small package was found in the parent and baby room inside Morrisons on Cheapside in Hyde .

Inside the envelope was filled with sunflower seeds.

On the outside, a handwritten note from the mystery author said: 'Are you a Mum? Then these are for you. Plant them and find some sunlight'.

On the reverse of the envelope, the writer left an uplifting message for the mum who would find it.

It said: 'Even on the darkest days, stand tall and find some sunlight.  It's ok not to be ok'.

The message said 'it's ok not to be ok' (Vicci Chapman)

Mother-of-two Vicci Chapman was using the facilities in the room with her daughter on Wednesday afternoon when she spotted the gift.

She said the random act of kindness 'made a huge difference to an exhausted mum'.

Vicci, 36, told the M.E.N: "I was very pleasantly surprised to be the lucky one to find such a lovely little random act of kindness.

"After having a reasonably difficult few weeks personally, I really appreciated the sentiment."

Vicci, who lives in Hyde, posted pictures of the gift into a local community group on Facebook and over a hundred people have liked the post so far.

This week is Mental Health Awareness Week, which raises awareness of major issues surrounding mental health.

The charity behind the campaign encourages people to carry out random acts of kindness to benefit our own mental health.

Their research says it can reduce stress, improve emotional wellbeing and benefit physical health.
