A.J. Green will offer update next week; Cordy Glenn still in concussion protocol

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green remains in a boot as the team prepares for its Week 1 road trip against the Seattle Seahawks.

There’s no word on whether Green is still using a scooter, though Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com notes the wideout is “in the protocol of not talking to the media” but will offer an update next week.

As for starting left tackle Cordy Glenn, he remains in the concussion protocol.

Glenn suffered the concussion in the second preseason game and self-reported it. He’s yet to leave protocol, and concussion timelines are different for every player in every instance, so it is realistic to think he could miss Week 1. If he is out, Andre Smith will presumably start at left tackle and the returning John Jerry will serve as the backup, which is bad news heading into an environment like Seattle to face a defense that just added Jadeveon Clowney.
