A.J. Green, John Ross back working at Bengals minicamp

The Cincinnati Bengals are slowly working back from the injury bug that plagued the roster in 2018.

Both A.J. Green and John Ross were out working Tuesday to start mandatory minicamp, though the former just checked in during individual drills.

Zac Taylor talked with reporters about players making it back:

“John Ross has been out for a little bit, so we’ll get him going. A.J.’s been cleared to do everything, but we’re just going to put him out there in individual (drills) and let him run around a little bit. He won’t do any of the team (drill) stuff.”

Individual drills or not, Bengals fans have to feel good about No. 18 getting back in the fold. From the sounds of it, Ross has moved past the slight ailment that had him limited during OTAs.

As for the rest of the injury notes, Tyler Eifert, Carl Lawson, Ryan Glasgow and Trayvon Henderson were limited to side-field work for varying issues, the exception Eifert, who is merely being held out. Others, such as Jonah Williams and Clint Boling, didn’t take part.

As a whole, the Bengals are looking good in the recovery process before heading into a lengthy break.
