A.J. Green back running routes, expects to be full-go for training camp

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green has been on a media tour as of late and one of the biggest notes to come from it is his praise of the new energy surrounding the Zac Taylor era.

Another big one just happened when Green revealed he’s back running routes and ready to go for this summer.

Here’s what Green had to say when he sat down with ESPN’s Adam Schefter: “I feel great. I’m back running routes. Everything’s back to normal…I should be cleared like next month. Definitely be ready for training camp.”

Green notes he underwent surgery for ligament repair with the toe he re-injured last year while trying to play through the injury after a brief stint on the shelf.

This is a critical summer for Green, who heads into a contract year at the age of 30 after seeing two of his last three seasons end early due to injury.

Bengals owner Mike Brown isn’t worried about getting an extension done with Green — but the star wideout enters the season with something to prove to a new coaching staff.
