Liverpool is welcoming its very own Great Wall of China - or rather, Chinese - next week.
The replica wall will be created using 2,000 recycled takeaway boxes, standing taller than a double-decker bus and seven metres in length.
Deliveroo is bringing the enormous wall to Liverpool to celebrate the Nation’s favourite takeaway, the Chinese.

Based on the Jinshanling section of the wall, the most popular hiking route, the wall will stand directly in front of Liverpool’s Chinese Arch , in Europe’s first ever Chinatown.
Visitors will have the chance to climb and walk along the wall, and be in with a chance of winning from the hundreds of prizes hidden away inside fortune cookies.

Joe Groves at Deliveroo said: “What better way to celebrate the nation’s favourite takeaway than to create an edible installation next to the original and most revered Chinese landmark in the UK.
“It’s thanks to our amazing restaurant partners in Liverpool that we have been able to create the Great Wall of Chinese”.
The Great Wall of Chinese will be in Liverpool from May 21 to 22 from 12pm - 7pm.
It is completely free to attend, though tickets can be booked via Eventbrite to be in with a chance of winning a free Chinese from Deliveroo.
