A hotel with this incredible view, 40 rooms and a swimming pool is on sale for £1.25m

A 40-bed hotel with one of the finest views in west Wales could be yours for a cool £1m.

The Fourcroft Hotel in Tenby, which sits right on top of the cliffs in Tenby in Pembrokeshire, has gone on sale after the owners fell into administration last year.

Whoever snaps up the Grade II listed hotel will bag themselves a building which has been part of the iconic Tenby skyline since the 1830s.

You can step out the front door, over the road and straight onto the sandy North Beach which attracts thousands of holidaymakers every year.

Spread out over four converted Georgian-era former terraced town houses, many of the bedrooms have stunning views right over the picturesque fishing harbour and RNLI lifeboat station.

The beach might be within spitting distance but for those who like lazing by the pool, there's a heated one on the hotel's terrace.

The Fourcroft Hotel is one of six Welsh hotels run by Gavin Woodhouse, the man originally linked to plans for the controversial Afan Valley Adventure Resort.

The Fourcroft, Fishguard Bay Hotel in Goodwick, Caer Rhun Hall in Conwy and three hotels in Llandudno are all part of the Whispers Hotels Group - run by Mr Woodhouse's Giant Hospitality Group, which is in administration.

The Fourcroft Hotel, which has now been closed, is being managed by administrators Duff and Phelps.

Any prospective buyer cannot fail to be impressed by the approach to the hotel from the Croft which runs along the top of the cliffs and is lined with the elegant pastel-coloured buildings for which Tenby is famous.

From the front door, the recently refurbished reception, public bar and lounge areas give way to a restaurant which can seat up to 70 guests.

As well as the pool, the hotel comes with its very own cottage, making it ideal for any aspiring hotelier looking to live on-site. The three-bedroom Norton Cottage could also have potential for use by staff or as a separate holiday let.

The myriad of shops, cafes and other attractions within the walled town are within a short walking distance.

The hotel has ceased trading and is now being offered for sale. Management accounts for the year ending March 31, 2019 indicate a net turnover of £885,443.

The Fourcroft Hotel is being sold through agents Sanderson Weatherall.
