A high school pitcher waved goodbye to a batter in the middle of his windup and we need more of that

Look: If you’re going to complain about bat flipping — which you should not, home runs are awesome and should be celebrated as such — then you could object to what you’re about to see.

Or! How about embracing it all and saying that both pitchers and hitters should celebrate, which would make baseball better for everyone?

So let’s start with Sam Cozart, a pitcher who is committed to playing for Mississippi State, getting into his windup as he’s getting ready to throw and waving goodbye to a hitter. It’s the best, and it reportedly came in the middle of an immaculate inning (nine pitches to strike out three batters):
