A heckling Lakers fan showed up to Kawhi Leonard and Paul George’s Clippers intro

Heading into free agency, many considered the Los Angeles Lakers as the favorite to land Kawhi Leonard from the Toronto Raptors.

The confidence was undeniable from Laker Nation. There was even a Kawhi Leonard Lakers mural painted at Venice Beach, which only lasted a few days before it needed some updating. Leonard’s decision to sign with the Clippers was a blow to Lakers fans who had hoped to see the Raptors star team up with LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Kawhi going to the Clippers only added insult to injury.

And apparently one fan felt compelled to voice that disappointment to the players themselves.

As the Clippers unveiled a mural for Kawhi Leonard and Paul George at Wednesday’s introductory press conference, a Lakers fan showed up to heckle the Clippers stars.

Video showed the fan yelling that Los Angeles was still a “Lakers hood” and that the Clippers should move to Seattle (which seems unlikely). You know, normal fan stuff.

I commend this guy’s commitment, though. His team missed out on Leonard, but at least he went out and screamed about it to a crowd. It beats tweeting angrily into the abyss.

The first Lakers-Clippers game this season is going to be epic — that’s for sure.
