A Harry Potter-style magical 'potions' bar called The Cauldron is coming to Edinburgh

If you've always felt fairly confident that you'd pass your potions OWL with flying colours, you might want to make space in your diary to visit The Cauldron Magical Cocktail Experience pop-up, which is heading to Edinburgh soon.

The pop-up is an offshoot of the popular wizard-themed Cauldron Pub in New York, and it's been touring bars around the world to rave reviews.

To brew potions - or rather, cocktails - at The Cauldron Magical Cocktail Experience, you'll first have to don your own robes. Then you'll have to work from recipes to create your drink. It's a bit like a 'real' potions class, but without Snape glaring over your shoulder.

The Cauldron bills itself as the 'most magical pub in New York' (Supplied)

Tickets for the experience start at £29.99, and for that you get a welcome drink and two potions, plus the whole 'immersive experience' that goes into making them. It's worth noting that this is not, repeat, not , an official Harry Potter bar: it's simply 'wizard themed'. But having said that you'll definitely feel like you're at Hogwarts.

They say they're expecting about 20,000 guests in Edinburgh over the five-month pop-up, but details are sketchy so far and we're not Professor Trelawney. As soon as we know what date the pop-up will be starting, and where it will be held, we'll let you know.

You can sign up to the waiting list and pre-register for tickets here.
