'A hard watch': Newcastle United fans voice their frustration after dour Norwich City draw

Newcastle United fans have voiced their frustrations on social media after back-to-back 0-0 draws at St James' Park.

The Magpies were held at home after failing to find a way past the Premier League's bottom club, Norwich City.

After a 0-0 draw against League One outfit Oxford United in the FA Cup last weekend, it was another toothless display from Steve Bruce's side against a leaky Norwich defence.

Whilst the Toon army still sit 10th in the Premier League standings, seven points clear of relegation danger, the lacklustre style of football is beginning to ware Newcastle fans down.

It was another tough afternoon for their attacking players, with Joelinton recording his 25th game without finding the back of the net.

Allan Saint-Maximin huffed and puffed but, like Miguel Almiron, was unable to find a way through the Canaries' backline.

Bruce's constant use of a back-three formation has irked some supporters, a system that is useful against the division's best outfits, but negative against those inferior.

Mike Ashley, similarly, has taken the brunt of the blame for his inability to recruit better attacking players.

In a frustrating afternoon for everyone involved at Newcastle United, here's a round-up of what the supporters had to say at the full-time whistle.

Newcastle are next in action on Tuesday night against Oxford United, before travelling to the Emirates to face Arsenal.
