Manchester's famous Parklife Festival is less than a month away from its return to Heaton Park, with this year's bonanza set to be bigger than ever. With a capacity of over 80,000, it's no surprise that festival-goers often opt to book a nearby hotel room to rest their heads after a long day of partying.
Following the line up and ticket announcement back in January, hotel rooms across the city and further afield quickly began selling out. A search on site booking.com by the Manchester Evening News on May 18 revealed a number of rooms still available across the city, with all prices over £200 for the night. **
The hotels further away from Heaton Park, just a few miles north of the city centre, came up with understandably lower nightly rates, with those closer buy often coming in at more than £300 per night for the Saturday night, June 11. After 2021’s record sell-out time - just 78 minutes - pre-registration and sign ups for 2022 have, as expected, been met with unprecedented demand.

Following a booking.com search on May 18, a total of 45 rooms showed up within Manchester as having vacancies on Saturday June 11. Filtering the options for two people, a mixture of double and twin rooms showed in results.
The cheapest in the results was a double room at the Britannia's Manchester Airport Hotel, with a twin room available for two at £259 with breakfast, or £239 without. Free cancellations until 2pm on the 11th of June were offered with both booking options.
The following hotel was also owned by the Britannia group, with the City Centre hotel offering either a double or twin room, both with no windows, for the same price. £384 for two for one night with breakfast included, and a lesser £369 without breakfast.
Other rooms were available at the New Union hotel in the Gay Village, with a rate of £380 for a double room for two - with cancellation up until June 7. The Ainscow Hotel in Salford was offering a standard double room for £382 without breakfast and £396 with breakfast. Those options with free cancellations until June 10th were £449 and £466.
Also offering a classic double room was the Mercure Manchester Piccadilly Hotel, at £425 for the night, or £445 with breakfast. And the Marriott Victoria and Albert Hotel had a King sized room offered at £425 for two people with cancellations up to June 10th, or £446 with breakfast.
Filtered from lowest price to highest, the remaining hotels offered double rooms at higher prices, with the majority costing £430 and above, with a handful pricing in at over £500. Those wishing to book a hotel room on a budget, could look further afield or opt to travel to Manchester for both days.
