With flight cancellations left and right due to rapidly changing travel rules and the Omicron variant, Ryanair fliers are among some unlucky travellers.
So far 160,000 Ryanair customers have been impacted by flight cancellations with another 230,000 likely to be hit by more cancellations in the new year.
Most recently, the budget airline recently cancelled flights to Morocco through to February 2022.
Ryanair's policies can be be tough to navigate as, interestingly, customers aren't allowed to cancel their own flights.
That means that if you can't travel due to a lockdown, customers will not get a refund if the flight went ahead, as was the case with flights to Austria.
The Ryanair cancellation and refund policy

Ryanair policy reads: "Once a Ryanair flight is operational, and does not have a delay exceeding 5 hours, then it is not possible to get a refund.
"All Ryanair flights are changeable but they cannot be cancelled."
Ryanair previously called itself "the no refunds airline", although this changed in October due to criticism during the pandemic and an investigation by the Competition and Markets Authority.
The airline has promised to issue refunds within five working days.
How to get a refund if your Ryanair flight wasn't cancelled
If you don't go on your flight, perhaps due to Covid or a lockdown, and the flight went ahead, Ryanair will not refund you.
There is the chance to get a refund on the government tax paid if you apply within one month of travel.
Fliers can apply here, but there is a catch.
Government tax refunds are subject to an 'administration fee' of £17.
So if the refund is less than the administration fee, you won't get a penny back.
How to get a refund if your flight was cancelled
Customers whose flights have been cancelled can apply for a refund or change their cancelled flight for free.
However, the flight change fee can be more expensive than booking a new flight.
The fee totals £90 or £45 per one way flight, per passenger.
However, there is a no flight fee exception for bookings made between June 10 and September 30 for travel before December 31.
