A Group Of Gracie Abrams Fans Accidentally Looked Like The KKK During Her Melbourne Concert

Gracie Abrams TikTok KKK Melbourne Concert

Everybody has been busy getting dressed up for Gracie Abramsconcerts in Australia. But while bows and long skirts are the norm, there’s an outfit nobody was expecting to see in the crowd …the KKK?!?!

While two fans had a lovely time at Gracie’s Melbourne show, they were low-key alarmed when they spotted a group of fans dancing in a circle wearing pointy hats. Not gonna lie, it looked bad

“Gracie in Melb was fun, but we did panic the KKK was in the pit for a moment,” Amanda and Carol (@.shesmylobster) wrote on TikTok. They quickly realised the fans were actually wearing golden star costumes, but the pointy hats combined with the lighting didn’t help the situation.

“The circle and the torches really took me out… I was watching them having the best time and my wife pointed it out. Then we couldn’t unsee it haha,” the influencer wrote in the comments.

“I dare say [they were] blissfully unaware and unintentional. They were just having a blast being stars, younger generations don’t seem to learn about these topics in school anymore.”

Other TikTokers commented in defence of the young fans, with the majority of people believing it was a coincidence that their star costumes looked suss from a distance.

“Y’all, their costumes were literally shiny and gold. They only look like the KKK because of the lighting in this video. They didn’t ‘know what they were doing’ because they literally didn’t do anything wrong,” one person wrote.

@.shesmylobster Gracie Abrams in Melbourne. Best night. Loved the energy in the pit. But the costumes did scare us for a moment 🤣 #gracie #gracieabrams #tsoutour #tsou #melbourne #rodlaverarena #gracieabrams #blowingsmoke ♬ original sound – Amanda & Carol

“Oh nooooo I mean I definitely don’t think they realised, probably too excited about the concept, but omg,” another added.

“Don’t know about the other commenters but I genuinely thought it was the KKK without reading the caption. I was in so much shock LMAO,” a third commented.

“Like context of global politics aside at the moment, this is actually very funny, I giggled,” another wrote.

Another TikTok, posted by Bri (@bbtravelss), showed that the star costumes were very obviously stars — no white hats in attendance — when you saw the fans up close. Phew!

It’s actually a nod to one of Gracie’s songs, as she sings the lyrics “I know what you are / Brighter than the stars” in ‘Blowing Smoke’.

What’s more, Gracie herself noticed the fans having a great time in the pit and said she could see them. That’s pretty cute!
