A group of former NFL stars are trying to become Olympic curlers

A group of four former NFL Pro Bowlers is on a mission to take down the gold-medal winning American curling team and earn the right to represent the United States in the 2022 Olympics.

Minnesota Vikings great Jared Allen is part of the “All-Pro Curling Team” along with former Titans stars Keith Bulluck and Michael Roos, and former Rams quarterback Marc Bulger. The group has been streaming its games live on YouTube, but has yet to win a match.

Former Olympian John Benton is coaching the All-Pros, and cautioned in the ESPN feature that the team is still at a very early stage of development. Only one men’s curling team will qualify to represent the United States, so for the All-Pros to achieve their goal, they’ll have to dethrone the reigning gold medal winners. According to Allen, it’ll take a new “Miracle on Ice.”
