Since 1980, the Golden Bridge has remained a unique construction with the timepiece's baguette movement working its magic inside a cage of sapphire crystal.
Now, Corum's incomparable wristwatch can be co-ordinated with pieces from the new Golden Bridge jewellery collection created in partnership with Baechtold.
The "barrel" case echoes the designs of Tonneau Pavé jewellery, adorned with pavé-set diamonds and Tonneau Snow, whose setting resembles the sparkle of freshly fallen snow.
Petite Tonneau pieces appeal with repeating tonneau-shaped inlays. Repetition of tonneau shapes similarly characterise the Icon Eternity ensemble.
Corum's partner for more than 30 years, Baechtold was established in 1975 and is now led by co-owner Tevin Resanond Baechtold, who studied jewellery design in Germany.
"Making jewellery to accompany Corum's Golden Bridge collection has been a passion project for a long time, and being able to complete the collaboration has been very fulfilling," said Tevin. "The jewellery is a beautiful way to expand the presentation of the watch and the iconic shape itself. Allowing wearers to be in full Corum mode, the jewellery really completes the look."
The pendant, bangle, ring and earrings perfectly match the feminine Golden Bridge Miss, whose launch in 2010 marked the 30th anniversary of the original timepiece with a structural and airy movement created by Italian-born watchmaker Vincent Calabrese.
Just like the watches, the fine jewellery pieces are in white or rose gold. Corum sustainably uses ethically sourced and/or recycled gold. Likewise, natural white diamonds have been mined ethically in accordance with the Kimberley Process and the Responsible Jewellery Council Code of Practices.
