A Glasgow-themed pub has opened its doors in Argentina

It seems that the love for our amazing city has spread to the furthest reaches of the globe.

That's because a Glasgow-themed craft beer pub has opened its doors in Argentina.

'Glasgow Beer House' is situated in the city of Junin in the province of Buenos Aires, about three hours drive from the capital.

Junin, which has a population of around 85,000, is famous in the country that produced Messi and Maradona for being the hometown of former first lady of Argentina, Eva Peron.

And despite being over 11,000 kilometres from Glasgow, its owners saw fit to open up a pub that celebrates our home city.

The pub joins others around the world that pay homage to Scotland's biggest city.

Back in June last year we got wind of a Glasgow-themed boozer in the middle of Japan.

With Glasgow Shokudou, based in the city of Osaka, going all out to reinforce its love for the home of Irn Bru and fried pizza thanks to having its walls adorned with records from Glasgow musicians.

While in the French town of Fontainebleau near Paris there's a Scottish pub called 'Le Glasgow'.
