A giant Spiegeltent is coming to Liverpool at Christmas - and it looks amazing

This Christmas nightlife at the Baltic Triangle is set to become even more spectacular - as a giant Spiegeltent will come to the area for the first time ever.

Spiegeltents date back to Belgium in the 19th century and are often used as travelling dance halls, bars and bohemian entertainment salons.

The round tent made of dark wood, stained glass windows, bevel mirrors and a draped ceiling, will be set up at the Cains Brewery Village.

Steve Meadows and Diana Smith are launching the special Christmas Spiegeltent in November this year.

Steve said : "The Spiegeltent continues a fine tradition with its exquisitely decorated performance space that is ideally suited to big parties, masquerade balls, live music shindigs and food-filled festive soirees.

"Christmas is huge for us and we think Liverpool will love what we’ve got to offer."

Work will begin on the Spiegeltent on November 25 and a Grand Opening party will take place on November 28.

Co-owner Diana Smith said: "The Spiegeltent is a stunning, luxurious venue constructed from rich mahogany, dappled mirrors and stained glass with an incredible draped ceiling, circular dance floor and booth seating.

"Bringing the Spiegeltent to the Baltic Triangle... it’s the perfect location for music, wining, dining and entertainment and compliments the area’s visitor economy and all the wonderful happenings there."
