A Geordie-themed Elf card exists and it is the Christmas gift we all need

If you are a big fan of Elf and you're a proud Geordie, or even an adopted one, there is a Christmas card that has just launched that will fill you full of festive cheer.

In case you aren't familiar with the 2003 Will Ferrell film, which came second in the Radio Times Christmas film vote last year, it tells the story of Buddy who was accidentally transported to the North Pole as a toddler and raised to adulthood among Santa's elves.

Unable to shake the feeling that he doesn't fit in, the adult Buddy travels to New York, in full elf uniform, in search of his real father. As it happens, this is Walter Hobbs a cynical businessman.

After a DNA test proves this, Walter reluctantly attempts to start a relationship with the childlike Buddy with increasingly chaotic results.

And if you love all things Elf you can use the film to spread some seasons greetings this year as, hot on the heels of their Geordie Gifts have launched a card inspired by all things Buddy.

It is emblazoned with the words 'Santaaaaa! Nee way man! A bloody kna him yi kna' and is on sale for £2.99 from the Geordie Gifts website and in person from the shop in Alley 4 of the Grainger Market.
