A Game of Thrones convention is coming to the UK - here's how to get tickets

If you're mourning the loss of Game of Thrones from your life after the final episode last night, then fear not.

Hit fan convention Thronescon is coming to the UK later this year, and fans will be able to meet some of the actors involved in the HBO classic.

The Printworks in Manchester will turn into Westeros for the one day only event and fans can experience the Seven Kingdoms for themselves.

Taking place on Sunday, August 18 the event is back after such a successful run last year.

Here's the lowdown on this year's event:

Where and when is it?

Taking place in Manchester on Sunday August 18 at The Printworks from 10am to 6pm. The entire venue will be transformed for the independent fans convention.

Tickets cost £16.50 per person.

What can fans expect?

Actors from the show will be in attendance including; Edward Dogliani (Lord of Bones), Clive Russell (Brynden 'the Blackfish' Tully), Ian Beattie (Ser Meryn Trant), Pixie Le Knot (Kayla), Annette Hannah (Frances 'little bird'), Hattie Gotobed (Ghita).

White Walkers, hardened northerners and residents of Kings Landing will also be roaming around.

Fans can also go to Q&A sessions with the stars and have a look around the Medieval Market.

It's also welcome if you dress up in your favourite characters and join in the fun.
