On Tuesday, October 7, 2025, United States Attorney General Pam Bondi appeared before the Senate Judiciary Panel for a hearing. In the presence of everyone, she was asked questions about her handling or mishandling of the Justice Department under President Donald Trump’s rule.
In addition to questions regarding her leadership of the department, Pam Bondi was asked to divulge sensitive information related to Trump, especially his close association with disgraced financier and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
She was questioned about the infamous Epstein files, which are believed to contain Trump’s name as one of his esteemed clients and was asked to clarify if she attempted to erase his name from the said files to protect him. Pam Bondi refused to answer the question and deflected it by saying that she refuses to answer questions about that. This exchange occurred with Senator Dick Durbin, and when other senators posed similar questions, she continued to refuse to provide answers.
At a specific moment during the hearing, Pam Bondi was asked by Senator Sheldon Whitehouse if she or the FBI had encountered photographs of President Trump with “half-naked young women” while searching Epstein’s properties and belongings, as recent reports suggest.
Bondi, who looked visibly upset and guilty, if you ask me, did not answer the question but instead picked on Whitehouse and alleged that he had taken money from LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman for covering up his name. Hoffman, Bondi claimed, was one of Epstein’s closest confidantes who was spotted hanging out with him on multiple occasions.
The internet took notice of Bondi’s shift in demeanour to that question and tore her apart on social media. On X, a majority of the people considered her guilty just by observing her facial expressions and words of deflection. One person said:
“Pam Bondi REFUSES to answer whether the FBI found incriminating photos of Trump with half-naked young women. She has a full theatrical meltdown- but we know what this is: PANIC. RELEASE. THE. FILES. NOW.”
Another one said:
“Pam Bondi’s meltdown says it all, when the truth is that ugly, silence becomes the only defense.”
