A Friends musical is coming to the UK - and could we BE more excited

If you love all things Friends, you're definitely not going to want to miss this.

A wonderful woman named Miranda Larson has created the musical theatre production of our dreams and it's coming to the UK in just a few months.

Called Friendsical, the show is a parody musical of everyone's favourite sitcom about six friends - Ross, Rachel, Monica, Phoebe, Joey and Chandler.

The musical is said to start from the very beginning, right around the time Carol leaves Ross for Susan and Rachel ditches Barry, her husband-to-be, at the altar.

Friends almost didn't have Central Perk - and the sofa wasn't originally orange

And if that alone wasn't enough to tempt you to buy tickets, the titles of the musical numbers just might.

According to the British Theatre website, Friendsical features a range of original songs, including '(He's her) Lobster', 'Richard's Moustache' and 'You're Over Me? When Were You Under Me?'.

The show will also see the gang take on naked Thursdays, a power cut and a dinosaur convention.

How much Friends cast earn from the show each year - despite it ending in 2004

Set to tour the country over the summer, the production, will open at the Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham on July 15, 2019.

It will then head to Darlington, Derry, Newcastle, Kingston, Malvern, Blackpool, Chelmsford, Southampton and Croydon.

Those planning a visit to the Edinburgh Festival will also be able to catch the musical there between August 1-25.

Should Rachel have ended up with Joey on Friends - here's what the cast think

For anyone worried about a Friends project without any involvement from co-creators Kauffman and Crane, fear not, for the mastermind behind the new musical is a massive fan of the show.

Larson also has a wealth of experience in writing and directing for both television and theatre.

Her recent credits include adapting Tom Fletcher's Christmasaurus for the Hammersmith Apollo and Hubble, Bubble & Squeak for Nickelodeon.

As well as this, she's also currently developing a version of Sleepy Hollow for the stage.
