A French country-style Woodstock home, which hosted Bob Dylan, Janis Joplin, and George Harrison, is on the market

Stone House.

It's rare that the opportunity to own the same property that legends such as Bob Dylan, Janis Joplin, Allen Ginsberg, and George Harrison have wandered through; however, now someone has the chance, as Stone House is on the market for $4.99 million.

The Woodstock, New York, estate has long been a creative hub for artists and writers alike. Built in 1914, the main house features four bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and two half bathrooms, all of which showcase preserved architectural details. It's a French country house in the literal sense, featuring chic, Dutch-style doors, natural wood planks, and numerous fireplaces throughout the estate.

With plenty of character and spaces fused with color and natural light, we can see why this estate was so popular with creatives for decades. Let's look inside.

The bedroom features white walls and pops of color through a tapestry-style rug, turquoise sofa, and mustard bedding. The ornate fireplace includes gold candlesticks on the mantel, adding a vintage touch to the space.

The kitchen, meanwhile, is super rustic, with its unpainted, wood cabinets, brick-red floor tiles, and vaulted ceiling beams.

Did someone say butter yellow? The year's most buzzworthy color appears on the walls of the living area, where printed dining chairs, candelabras, and a tiled fireplace all enhance the space with charm and texture.

The sitting area is perhaps the most luxe, with a marble fireplace, glass coffee table, and upholstered armchairs decorating the area. The arched doorways add a delightful touch of visual interest, as does the crown molding.

This sky blue-painted bench is a definite highlight, acting as a reading nook with lots of natural light streaming through the windows.

The guest house is cozy as can be, with preserved wood and brick details, a luxe, brown leather sofa, and a loft.

Stone House is listed with Kathryn Johnson at William Pitt, and co-listed with Michelle Bergkamp at Corcoran Country Living.
