CHICAGO _ After reliever Danny Farquhar collapsed in the dugout at Guaranteed Rate Field, White Sox players and coaches feared that his life hung in the balance.
But less than three weeks after he suffered a brain hemorrhage from a ruptured aneurysm, Farquhar is resting at home. Neurosurgeon Demetrius Lopes released him from Rush University Medical Center on Monday, saying Farquhar might be able to return to the mound in 2019.

A world-renowned neurosurgeon, Lawton specializes in the treatment of cerebrovascular disorders and has performed more than 7,000 surgical cases, published more than 400 peer-reviewed articles and written five textbooks.
