Liverpool is set to welcome its first ever floating pop-up cinema this summer as the Royal Albert Dock launches a brand new event programme.
The cinema will take place on the dock’s floating pontoon, where it will screen popular family friendly and nautical themed films such as Finding Nemo and Jaws.
Screenings will take place during the daytime and evening, from August 4 -10.

The five week programme will also include a host of family friendly activities, including storytime workshops with author Cathy Roberts and music and arts sessions hosted by Beyond Books from August 16 - 20.
Royal Albert Dock will also be hosting a range of wellbeing activities such as dockside yoga, Tai Chi, netball, cricket and table tennis.

The floating football pitch is set to return to the dock this summer, from August 23 - 30, with free coaching sessions with Liverpool Football Club Foundation.
New for 2019, the Royal Albert Dock Food and Drink Festival launches from September 6 - 8, with foodie masterclasses, tasters, demonstrations and more to be announced.
Clare Rawlinson, head of marketing for Albert Dock said: “The re-shaped programme will appeal to visitors, and people who live and work in the wider City Region.
"There really is something for everyone, all based on the Dockside to take advantage of our unique UNESCO World Heritage setting.”
The dock is also set to welcome two brand new restaurants this summer, the Barrie Brother’s new venture and Maray’s third Liverpool venue.
