A festival of films showing the great outdoors is coming to Edinburgh in November

A film festival showcasing some of the best in outdoor cinema is coming to Edinburgh in November.

The European Outdoor Film Tour (EOFT) is the continent's biggest celebration of films shot in the great outdoors.

The short documentaries will be showing at the Assembly Rooms on George Street from 7.30pm on Sunday, November 10.

Among the line-up is Freedom to Roam, an inspiring portrait of adventurer and polar expert Sarah McNair-Landry, winner of the 21st Century Adventurer Award.

There's also Lhoste, the tale of a ski-mountaineering pair who take on an 8000-meter high dream and a world’s first.
