A Dublin pub has a special dish named after Liverpool wizard Mohamed Salah

A popular Dublin grub spot have nailed their colours to the mast after naming one of their dishes after footballer of the moment Mohamed Salah.

The Egyptian is on top form of late having bagged an absolute rocket against Chelsea over the weekend, and the Reds fans will be hoping for more of the same as he  travels to Portugal for Wednesday night.

Now his infectious legacy has hit Irish shores as Dun Laoghaire watering hole The Lighthouse have named a salad after him.

The massive support for The Reds comes as no surprise - as there's a strong long-lasting connection between the city and Ireland.

Seventy-five percent of Liverpool locals have Irish descent with linguists saying the scouse accent is directly influenced from Irish migrants, so it comes as no surprise the song has been embraced.

Anfield road itself is named after the old town of Annefield in New Ross, Co. Wexford.
