A dozen police cars race to Wetherspoons in Glasgow's Argyle Street

Around a dozen police cars raced to a disturbance at a Wetherspoons in Glasgow tonight

The cops were spotted outside the The Sir John Moore in Argyle Street.

It is understood a man kicked off after refusing to leave and staff called the police for assistance.

It is unclear why such a large number of police cars were sent to the scene.

Police Scotland confirmed that a 'disturbance' had taken place and a 39-year-old man had been arrested.

Police Scotland spokesperson said: "I can confirm a 39-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a disturbance at a premises in Argyle Street in Glasgow.

"Officers were made aware of the incident at 8.10pm."
