Toolstation are on the lookout for someone who’s keen into home improvement and property development to watch every single episode of Grand Designs for ‘research purposes’.
The Channel 4 series has been on our screens for 22 series since 1991 so that means that whoever gets the lucky job will have to make their way through a whopping 217 episodes.

Thankfully, for anyone who’s thinking of applying for the job it comes with a paycheck of £1,500.
The tool retailer says it has advertised the unusual position in a bid to find out more about the projects completed on Grand Designs - it estimates that around 34 pc of projects on the show went over budget, with only 7 pc making it on budget and 8 pc of projects coming in under their budget.
The super fan chosen for the lucky task will need to watch every episode to find out which projects went over budget the most and which came out under budget the most.
A spokesperson for the retailer said: “We know that a percentage of our customers shop with us for their home renovation needs, and that being said Grand Designs is one of the TV shows home renovators can take their inspiration from.
“What better way to hire someone to get even more inspiration, whilst getting paid for it."
