It was nearly a year ago that then-Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Stefon Diggs tweeted, “It’s time for a new beginning,” and then added, “Somethings [sic] going to happen.”
What did it all mean? Hours later, a trade to the Buffalo Bills was announced. It was, in fact, time for a new beginning.
Here’s what’s wild: it turns out that tweet was actually responsible for the Bills trading for him.
Buffalo GM Brandon Beane told The Cris Collinsworth Podcast that the tweet led to the Bills calling up the Vikings, and eventually their conversation ultimately finished with a consummated trade.
