A disgruntled Eagles fan tossed a bouquet of flowers at Nick Sirianni after another tough loss

The Philadelphia Eagles are a mess of a football team right now with Nick Sirianni at the helm. A rough last-second 27-24 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday has given the Eagles a messy — but well-deserved — 3-6 record on the year.

No one’s happy about the state of football in Philadelphia right now, but one fan decided to take it upon themselves to showcase their displeasure after the brutal loss. As the team was exiting to the tunnel in Lincoln Financial Field, a fan tossed a bouquet of flowers at Sirianni, who was less than pleased about the incident.

Why flowers? It all stems (heh) back from a poorly-stated metaphor Sirianni used a few weeks back to discuss the Eagles and their growth as a team. The metaphor, however, has not gone over as intended with the fans.

It’s fair to be annoyed with the Eagles’ performance this season, as while there have been some bright moments, for the most part things have not played out as planned. Still, there’s no excuse for taking out your frustrations by throwing things at your much-maligned head coach.

Let’s just hope things improve in Philadelphia for the sake of Sirianni, his players, and Eagles fans alike.
