A diet high in calcium and potassium key to fighting high blood pressure - study

  • Foods rich in potassium, such as bananas, beans, sweet potatoes, and unsweetened yogurt, are highly recommended as they help counteract sodium, relax blood vessels, and lower blood pressure.
  • Omega-3 fatty acids found in salmon and other fresh fish, along with nitrates in leafy greens like spinach and kale, also contribute to blood vessel relaxation and improved blood pressure.
