A debut for Mari, Nketiah up front, no Aubameyang: The Arsenal lineup fans want vs Portsmouth

Arsenal fans are hoping to see a full debut for January signing Pablo Mari against Portsmouth.

That's according to the most popular XI picked by supporters ahead of the FA Cup tie on the south coast, with Mikel Arteta's Gunners set to face the League One side in the fifth round of the competition.

The Gunners head to Fratton Park off the back of a disappointing exit from the Europa League at the hands of Greek side Olympiacos on Thursday night.

Arteta could make some changes for the game, as he has done previously in cup competitions so far this season.

And Arsenal fans are hoping there will be some changes, according to the most popular lineup selected by supporters using our website.

The most popular team includes a back four comprising of Ainsley Maitland-Niles at right-back and Bukayo Saka at left-back, with January signing Mari and Rob Holding in the middle, in front of Emiliano Martinez in goal.

In midfield, Arsenal fans want to see a midfield trio of Lucas Torreira, Granit Xhaka and Joe Willock.

There is no place for the likes of Mesut Ozil, Alexandre Lacazette and top scorer Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the team picked by supporters.

Instead, the most popular team selection includes a youthful front three of Reiss Nelson, Gabriel Martinelli and Eddie Nketiah.
