'A deal to be done' - Bristol City fans call for talks with Burnley after Josh Brownhill development

Bristol City fans have called for transfer talks with Burnley after the latest transfer developments saw both clubs interested in the other's player.

It has been exclusively revealed by Bristol Live that Robins midfielder Josh Brownhill - subject to interest from Burnley - has a release clause in his contract that comes into effect in the summer.

City could well be tempted to sell Brownhill this month in order to maximise the amount of money they can get for the 24-year-old.

The news comes after the Robins' renewed their interest in Nahki Wells, who is on loan at QPR from Burnley.

With the Clarets said to be open to offers for Wells, Robins fans have called on the two clubs to come together for talks.

Bristol City Supporters Page: Explains the interest in Vaulks. If we could get £10 million for him I’d be happy. Surely a deal to be done with Burnley if we are interested in Wells.

Daniel: Get him gone, recall Morrell and Walsh, use the money to sign a striker if he doesn't want to sign a new deal.

Goon: Part exchange for Nahki Wells? Seems to make sense.

Adam Forster: Not surprised this has come out now. Makes other clubs more aware that he is available now for higher than £7m. Expect him gone by the time the window closes.

Tom: I'd be shocked if Leicester are in for him. Burnley and Sheffield United maybe but in my opinion he's a solid Championship player at best.

Sam: Would hate to see him go this month.

Grafton: Well, this would explain why we signed 3 or 4 guys that can play CM this summer (Massengo, Nagy, Rowe, Palmer). Seemed like it created a glut at the time, but if Brownhill's leaving in 2020 and you're not sure of Smith's health...
