'A complete mess' - How people in Liverpool feel about Brexit right now

With news breaking today that a Brexit extension could mean the UK might not leave the European Union until January 31 - we hit the streets of Liverpool to find out what people think of the current situation.

The so-called 'Flextension' was confirmed by EU Council President Donald Tusk after the failure to pass a suitable deal.

From the interviews we conducted we found that lots of different opinions were dispersed fairly evenly across different groups of people.

But most people shared the same view that they are all bored of the inconsistency and uncertainty around Brexit.

One man we spoke to referred to the current Brexit talks as "A complete mess!"

Brexit: What happens next?

He added that the situation has already been failed by previous Prime Minister, Theresa May, and that he believes it will be a continuous struggle for anyone in that position.

We also asked for people's thoughts on a potential General Election being held in December.

Another man in the city centre told us he was confused as to why another General Election should be held if nothing is being resolved by the changing of Prime Ministers.

From the interviews conducted it can be safely said that the public just want Brexit resolved instead of the on-going "party politics" on show.
