A children's music festival is coming to Dublin this summer!

Start your summer on an exciting note as a children’s music festival is coming to Dublin with a lively line-up of free events.

Ruaille Buaille, Lucan Children’s Music Festival is set to take place from June 5 to June 8.

Take your kiddies along to see Paddy Casey, James Mahon (Kíla), and Ceol Connected in action amongst others.

Join tin-whistle and uilleann pipes player Thomas Johnston, early music specialist Eamon Sweeney, Kíla members James Mahon and Seanan Brennan, percussionist Brian Fleming, international opera singers Sylvia O Brien (Soprano), David Lynn (Tenor) and Simon Morgan (Baritone) together with pianist David Wray and Kakatsitsi, Master Drummers from Ghana with multi-instrumentalist Mbilou from Gabon.

While the festival is free, booking for the children’s workshops at Lucan Library is essential and details can be found at www.ruaillebuaille.ie.

Some of the fun-filled workshops at Lucan Library include Trad Day with three of Ireland’s leading performers: James Mahon (Kíla), Seanan Brennan (Kíla) & Brian Fleming (percussionist), bodhran workshop for beginners, Ruaille Buaille Family Music Party, podcasting workshop, and African singing session with Kakatsitsi amongst others.

Ruaille Buaille in the park will take place in Griffeen Park, Lucan and will include exciting pop-up workshops and performances, face painters, jugglers, storytellers and lots of special guests dotted around the park.
