Dustin Perkins had quite the Sunday. While waiting for his wife, Michele, to run the Bank of America Chicago Marathon, the Crestwood man decided to cast the lakefront after walking over the 11th Street Bridge.
``I had the lake to myself and boy did she cough up a treat [a beautiful northern pike],’’ he emailed. ``Caught, photo, release.’’
His wife finished her ninth marathon in the middle of the field.
FOTW, the celebration of big fish and their stories (the stories matter) around Chicago fishing, runs Wednesdays in the Sun-Times. Submit nominations by message on Facebook (Dale Bowman), on Twitter and Instagram (@BowmanOutside) or email (BowmanOutside@gmail.com).
