Someone or some people somehow managed to get a witches hat on top of a large flagpole at a roundabout at Nobbys beach.

Guess that's one way to distract yourself in a crisis.
We're obviously not condoning this [in public at least], but we do acknowledge this must have taken some skill to achieve.
The witches hat enthusiast isn't the only one seeking distraction at the moment.
Ideas have been popping up on social media to give people staying at home some new ideas for entertainment and a bit of distraction from the news.
"Since lots of people will be stuck at home, I've decided to start a film club. Every day we pick a film. Anyone who wants to watch it can, and then talk about it using the hashtag #isolationfilmclub," British actor Brett Goldstein said on Twitter.
Another idea to surface on Twitter was "Big Kitchen Disco", where the idea was to "take the edge off social distancing with some social disco dancing" in the kitchen.
This means everyone dancing collectively in their own kitchens at a set time each night. That's happening at 7pm each night on Greenwich Mean Time. Surely someone will start one Down Under.

Raymond Terrace Fire and Rescue posted a photo on social media of its sign, with the message: "It's a vir-us, not a vir-you. We're in this together."
"A gentle reminder to be kind to one another as we collectively deal with the coronavirus," the brigade's Facebook post said.
Port Stephens MP Kate Washington said: "It's great to see that our local firies are once again leading by example, reinforcing the importance of community connectedness in these uncertain times.
"It's so important that we look out for one another. We are already seeing beautiful acts of kindness and generosity. Our community's spirit and humanity will outwit, outplay and outlast this shocking health crisis."
