Events across the UK in the coming weeks will mark the 100th anniversary of the Representation of the People Act 1918, which gave the vote to some women.
We would like to hear from readers with a family history that relates to the time, and showcase some of your memories as part of the Guardian’s coverage of the anniversary in February.
Do you have family heirlooms relating to the time, or a story that has passed down generations about involvement in the movement? Do you have any photographs, diary entries or stories from family members involved at the time? Maybe you have documents that show a particular event that occurred in your area or community? Relatives of Emmeline Pankhurst are involved in a newly commissioned choral work – will your family be marking the anniversary in any way?
