A Buncha Beloved Sydney Spots Like Totti’s Coogee Pav Are Once Again Doing Lockdown Takeaway

Some of the yummiest restaurants from the extensive Merivale catalogue have gone back to offering takeaway on select dishes their menus, returning a bit of fancy feeding into the lives of locked down Sydneysiders over the next couple of weeks.

It’s been just over a year since a range of Merivale’s beloved fave eateries pivoted to pick up and take away, and now it’s happening all over again.

The kitchens of Ms. G’s, Coogee Pavilion, Queen Chow, Mr. Wong, The Paddington, and Totti’s have popped up online for local folks to treat themselves to a nice little lockdown dinner – and yes, you absolutely deserve it.

I’m going to hazard a guess that a feed from The Chicken Shop at The Paddington is going to be a bit nicer than your bog standard quarter chook n’ chippies from the charcoal chicken joint down the street, and sometimes you just want to splurge on a good bit of bird. I cannot fault it, nor can I blame you.

Or maybe you’re just really stinging for a serve of those ridiculous cheeseburger spring rolls and perfect prawn toast from Ms. G’s – well now you can monch down on them without having to put your nice clothes on. Don’t even have to get all tizzied up to inhale a burrata and puffy bread from Totti’s.

Is there anything sweeter than being able to eat fancy-ass food in your comfy trackies and slippers? Honestly, no. There is nothing better.

A range of the most-loved Merivale restaurants have takeaway menus up right now on the hospo empire’s website, with options stretching from Manly to Coogee to Enmore. The bottle shops both online and at The Newport, The Royal, and the Allawah Hotel are up there too, for all your booze pairing needs.

So don your finest (read: cleanest) tracky-dacks, light a couple of nice candles in the lounge room, and take this deliciously rare opportunity to sit on the floor and eat fancy food without someone telling you to please get up and put your shoes back on, because you’re making a scene.
