Well, you know what they say, time flies when you’re having fun. We must have been having a hell of a good time because Married At First Sight (MAFS) is already filming for the 2026 season. While it does make me look inwards and question the passage of time, the good news is that we have a whole new list of brides and grooms stepping into the spotlight for our own entertainment in the coming months.
After all, you know what they say, the devil works hard, but reality TV producers work harder!!!
While the big dogs behind the scenes are yet to confirm the official cast list, the paparazzi just can’t seem to leave the cast-to-be alone.
As a result, we have a pretty good idea of who we will be seeing walk down those little aisles next year.
So, here are the brides and grooms who have been papped in association with the MAFS production.
Meet the rumoured MAFS 2026 brides
Ankita Karungalekar
It seems that sports presenter Ankita Karungalekar is taking a brief side-step from broadcast journalism to the world of reality television. Ankita is a Gold Coast-based gal who works for Cricket Australia, where she commentated the Men’s Test Match and Women’s ODI Cup. In 2019, she was the runner-up for Miss India Australia and a state finalist for Miss World Australia in 2020.
Plus, Miss Girl already has a blue tick next to her name on Instagram, so I guess that means she doesn’t have to follow certain rumoured contract constraints to qualify for one.
According to Daily Mail Australia, Ankita was spotted during her ceremony with a certain handsome groom below (no spoilers here!). Rather than wearing a white wedding dress, she wore a gorgeous gold and green lehenga. I can’t wait to see how her dress and wedding look through the television camera lens.
Gia Fleur
This contestant has won the marketing jackpot after being dubbed as MAFS “hottest bride ever” by Daily Mail Australia. Melbourne-based Gia Fleur is a gorgeous blonde with tattoos and allegedly, a “wild” attitude.
“Gia doesn’t give a single fuck what anyone thinks,” one insider told the publication.
“She’s bold, she’s brash, and she says whatever’s on her mind — which makes for absolutely iconic TV.”
Meanwhile, one of her close friends said that Gia is “the definition of a modern power woman”.
“She’s outspoken, confident, and not afraid to call people out on their BS — but she’s also super fun and brings this amazing energy everywhere she goes.”
Rebecca ‘Bec’ Zacharia
Adelaide-based beauty Rebecca ‘Bec’ Zacharia, 35, was spotted in a bridal gown during the same time period as MAFS was filming the weddings.
According to The Adelaide Advertiser, Rebecca is a local socialite who works as a rental consultant. She has previously been featured in the newspaper as one of their picks for the city’s hottest “single ready to mingle”.
“When we interviewed Rebecca early last year, she admitted to being married to her job in real estate while living in London,” The Advertiser wrote.
“She also confessed to getting the seven-year itch because she wanted to come home to Adelaide to be closer to her family and friends. And Rebecca did just that.”
Rebecca Zukowski
In late July, Rebecca Zukowski was papped filming her MAFS wedding in Sydney’s Centennial Park. According to her LinkedIn, Rebecca is a Melbourne-based operations manager with more than 20 years of experience.
Already, Rebecca has been likened to 2025 bride Jamie Marinos for her outspoken ways.
“She’s wild — think Jamie — just with years of experience,” a production source said to Daily Mail Australia.
“She’s the type of girl who will back you 100 per cent — but don’t cross her, because she’ll call it out without blinking,” claimed a friend.
“She’s got this larger-than-life energy and doesn’t tone herself down for anyone. We’re all so excited to see her on screen.”
Meet the rumoured MAFS 2025 grooms
Micah ‘Meekz’ Lomu
Sydney-based finance broker Micah ‘Meekz’ Lomu is rumoured to be joining the MAFS 2026 cast for season 13. While he’s a finance bro by day, he’s also the co-founder of a fitness community called “Surpass Your Limitz” which encourages people to work out and grow together.
His participation on the show is sparking some chit-chat on social media, but that’s a story for another day.
Daniel ‘Danny’ Hewitt
The next groom rumoured to be putting it all on the line for clout love is Daniel “Danny” Hewitt. Daniel is a Melbourne-based real estate mogul. According to So Dramatic!, he’s done so well for himself in the real estate game that he’s a self-made millionaire. Good for you, Danny!
“Daniel’s got this real swagger about him,” a friend told the publication.
“He’s confident, sharp, and always up for a good time. He’s definitely not the shy type. He rolls with a pretty glam Melbourne crowd, too. Lots of influencers, creatives, that sort of scene.”
Scott McCristal
The next groom rumoured to be on MAFS season 13 is no stranger to reality television. According to So Sydney, Gold Coast-based Scott McCristal is a former tradie-turned entrepreneur with three businesses to his name.
“He’s a hustler, no doubt,” an insider told Daily Mail Australia. “Scott’s got the gift of the gab, and he walks into every room like he owns it. He’s confident, cheeky, and knows exactly what he brings to the table.”
In 2018, he appeared in Channel 10’s dating show Blind Date. At the time, he told the Courier Mail that he was straight up doing it for fame.
“My dream goal is to do TV and movies,” he said. “It’s the most fun thing to do. Tradie work, I walk in and think ‘this is not for me’ with people smoking, drinking Red Bull and swearing and complaining about life.”
Since then, he’s appeared on Million Dollar Island, Holey Moley and was an extra in the drama series The Warriors. He’s even managed to clock up more than 25k followers and a blue tick on Instagram, so I guess he’s on his way to fame. Hopefully, the extra MAFS exposure will help!
Steve Powell
Not a whole lot is known about incoming MAFS 2026 groom Steve Powell. As one of the older contestants in the lineup, chances are he prefers to make moves in silence rather than posting on socials. Power to ya, Steve!!!!
As you might have guessed, MAFS 2026 isn’t set to hit our screens until next year. In the meantime, soak up the gossip!
