A brutal Christian McCaffrey stiff-arm left Buccaneers rookie dazed on the sideline

Nobody, this season, has been able to bring down Christian McCaffrey easily. He came into this week leading the league in rushing. He’s also tied for second among running backs with 31 catches (that’s more than Larry Fitzgerald, Zach Ertz or Travis Kelce). He’s also played an astonishing 96 percent of his team’s offensive plays as the Panthers attempt to push through quarterback Cam Newton’s injury.

So there’s no shame in getting trucked or juked or run past by Christian McCaffrey. He might be the league MVP so far — you could argue that Patrick Mahomes has been better but no player has been more important than McCaffrey. He’s going to make defensive players look silly. It’s what he does.

Like on this play today in London, where the Panthers are playing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Yeah, that’s worth another angle.

That’s Devin White, the linebacker Tampa Bay picked fifth overall in the most recent draft, on the end of that stiff arm before McCaffrey danced into the end zone (for his second TD of the day.)

White, who is playing in only his second game of the season, appeared to be at a loss afterward.

Yeah.

Yeah. That’s about right.
