A splash of colour is being added to Swansea’s Copr Bay with the development of new affordable apartments.
Thousands of vibrant, colourful tiles are being added to the nine-storey block overlooking Oystermouth Road to mke it appear more eye-catching.
People who move into the 33 new flats will be able to enjoy great views of the bay. And they will also look out over Copr Bay’s 3,500-capacity indoor arena and urban park.
The building is connected to a new multi-storey car park which will have around 600 parking spaces, and will include electric vehicle (EV) charge points.

The development will be linked to the arena, with its 1.1 acres of coastal parkland and around 300 other parking spaces, by a 50m-long pedestrian/cyclist bridge, designed by Marc Rees, which has been inspired by Japanese origami to have the look of a 'folded swan'.
People will see the new bridge move into place over Oystermouth Road early next year.

Phase One of Copr Bay is expected to open in the second half of next year and act as a catalyst in the city centre’s £1billion regeneration.
It is being funded by Swansea Council, with the arena element of the project being part-funded by the Swansea Bay City Deal - a £1.3 billion investment fund, which includes funding from the British and Welsh Governments and the private sector for major transformation projects in this region of south Wales.
