A breathtaking Star Wars screening with live orchestra is coming to Leeds this year

The force will be with you for one night only Leeds, as a breathtaking screening comes to the First Direct Arena.

The Empire Strikes Back will be shown in full on a huge screen, and a symphony orchestra will bring the film to life with a live performance of the music composed by John Williams.

Williams' score has long been referenced as a huge part of Star Wars' success, and those with tickets will be lucky enough to hear a full orchestra bring the music to life.

A statement for the event says: "The Empire Strikes Back directly into arenas throughout the country live in concert this autumn. See the full film LIVE on a giant HD screen with a symphony orchestra.

"Journey with the rebel alliance once again as Imperial forces wrestle for control of the galaxy. Its time to feel the force of John William’s epic score."

The Empire Strikes Back is the second film from George Lucas' original Star Wars trilogy, and is widely considered to be one of the best films of all time.

A similar event took place at the arena in December of last year when an orchestra accompanied a screening of A New Hope, the first Star Wars film.

How to get tickets
