A botched punt by the Rams that ended with a TD for the Colts is the weirdest play of season so far

Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams were able to leave Indianapolis on Sunday with a 27-24 win to improve to 2-0 but they almost blew a big lead thanks to one of the most confusing plays I’ve seen in a while.

The Rams had 24-17 lead early in the fourth quarter when they had to punt from deep in their own end.

That’s when things got weird.

Rams long snapper Matt Orzech hit his teammate, Nick Scott, with the ball which then rolled into the end zone and was recovered by the Colts for game-tying TD.

At first I thought Scott was to be blamed because it looked like he might not have moved over enough but it also looks like Orzech might have just been a little off with his snap.

What do you see here?

I can’t say for sure who is to blame there. Just a very weird thing to see happen in a NFL game.
