A body has been found on Llandudno seafront, North Wales Police confirm

Detectives have confirmed that a body has been found on the seafront at Llandudno.

North Wales Police said the body was found on the town's North Shore on Sunday morning, but said it was too early in the investigation to confirm any additional information, according to North Wales Live.

A section of the North Shore promenade was cordoned off for several hours by officers while emergency services were at the scene.

Police, paramedics, and crews from the coastguard search and rescue teams all attended the scene.

A witness said that crews from the coastguard search and rescue teams were seen searching in the water earlier on Sunday.

Emergency services left the scene at about 1pm.

A spokesman for North Wales Police said: "I can confirm that a body was discovered earlier this morning in Llandudno.

“There are no further details are available at this time and investigations are ongoing."
