It wasn’t to be Nicolas Raskin’s day on Sunday as Rangers were held to a 1-1 draw by Celtic, with the Belgian seeing an early header ruled out for offside.
Despite not getting the chance to be the hero on this occasion, Raskin remained upbeat about his team’s performance, while interim manager Barry Ferguson was left feeling his side deserved all three points from the game.
Speaking to Sky Sports after the match, Raskin highlighted the effort his team had put in but acknowledged the need for greater efficiency.
"We are a bit disappointed because we put so much effort into the game," he said. "We have just got to be cleaner in the last parts, the last shot to punish them when we break through.
"But overall, we showed that we can more than compete against them, so it's going to be something we need to take over to next season and fix all the details in the other stuff domestically."

Raskin’s effort on 25 minutes, which was ruled offside after a VAR review, came as a blow to his side's momentum.
Reflecting on the flashpoint moment, he said: "I don't like that to be fair. I knew they didn't really learn from the last game because I was heading balls the last three times we played Celtic. I knew I would have opportunities at some point.
"The ball comes and I just head it towards goal. But I just watched the images and it looked a little bit offside. It's a bit unlucky you know if someone drops a little bit early it's a goal, but I guess it's just part of the game."
