A bettor turned $1.10 into $532K with the college basketball parlay of a lifetime

It pays to be more than lucky when it comes to sports betting. You also have to be bold in finding the right calls and diligent in following the right trail of bets.

One college basketball bettor recently found out that boldness, diligence, and of course, luck, can pay off in remarkable ways.

By setting up the college basketball parlay to end all parlays, they turned a mere $1.10 — that is, 110 pennies, to be perfectly clear — into a cool $532,000. Sometimes you bide your time, waiting for the right bet, and sometimes, you have to go for it.

Twenty-three different bets in a parlay from the February 22 slate of college basketball. Or, better said: 23 different bets that might have sunk a chance at life-changing money. Instead, the cost of what probably otherwise would’ve been a candy bar or bag of chips hit on every single call along the way to “quit your job” money. Now think of all the Twix and Mountain Dew this person can buy.

This bettor’s incredible victory is a stark contrast to a recent bettor’s 25-leg parlay falling short by, you guessed it, one leg. There were no bad beats this time around.

You never know when your shot’s going to come. It might happen when you’re sitting on your couch on a lazy Tuesday evening, throwing a few cents here and there on a regular, otherwise ho-hum slate of college basketball.

What I’m saying is: You can always get a Twix later. Half a million dollars? Not so much. That’s a little more rare.
