It appears that the rumoured Beckham family feud has reached new heights, with an insider claiming that Victoria Beckham has always had an “intense dislike” for Brooklyn Beckham‘s wife, Nicola Peltz.
ICYMI, things have been getting quite dramatic in the world of beloved football/fashion family, the Beckhams. You see, there have been rumours of a rift between Brooklyn and Nicola vs the rest of the Beckhams after fans noticed that the pair haven’t been seen in their family photos since last Christmas.
The rumours then gained more traction when it appeared that Brooklyn failed to make an appearance at his father’s many (and I mean many) 50th birthday celebrations last month. Although Brooklyn and Nicola were expected to grace the Met Gala carpet, the pair reportedly ditched the fashion festivities to attend one of the birthday shindigs.
However, the couple didn’t end up appearing at any of the events. Ouchhhhhh.
Initially, one insider claimed it was due to Romeo Beckham‘s romance with Kim Turnbull, who previously dated Beckham. But shortly after the theory surfaced, another insider claimed it was due to beef between Victoria Beckham and Nicola Peltz.
Further fuelling the rumours of a rift between Nicola and her mother-in-law, an insider told Daily Mail that Victoria always had an “intense” dislike towards the Avatar: The Last Airbender actor.
“The two couples made it look good enough for Instagram, but it was never settled,” the insider told the publication.
“Victoria dislikes Nicola intensely, and it’s been war behind the scenes pretty much ever since the wedding. It’s always been a tug of war about Brooklyn, and Victoria has not wanted to let go.
“Victoria feels he has been absorbed into the Peltzes and that his life is all about that family. It has caused resentment.
“Even when Nicola and Brooklyn went out to Paris for Victoria’s fashion show, they stayed with her family because her mother likes to go to the couture shows.”
