A buyer has been found for a stunning Victorian mansion in Swansea .
Hendrefoilan House near Sketty was built in 1853 by Welsh industrialist and MP Lewis Llewellyn Dillwyn for £14,000.
Set in seven acres, it is one of Swansea's most prestigious - and at risk - buildings.
It went on sale at the beginning of the year for the first time in 50 years. However, the price of the building today hasn't been revealed.
The historic house is Listed Grade II and estate agent Savills - has confirmed that it is currently under offer.
The estate agent's website stated that the building had the potential for redevelopment including educational, day care, crèche, hotel, institutional, offices or a residential conversion.
The Tudor Gothic style mansion is not without its challenges. It was listed in 2010 by the Victorian Society as one of the 10 most endangered buildings in England and Wales.
The listing said: "Water floods down the outside walls, leading to damp on the inside. Lead thefts indicate that criminals are aware of it."
The building has most recently been used by the University of Swansea as its adult educational facility.
There had been reports that the buildings around the property had been taken down. However, Swansea University said that this was not the case.
A spokeswoman for Swansea University said: "The university is in discussion with various parties about this matter. We have not removed any buildings whilst the property has been on the market.”
